What is your legacy?

Today is Friday evening and I am celebrating...

I want to have a profound joy tip, celebrating the life of my elders. My mum and dad whom I saw in Venezuela few weeks ago, and my mother in law who made me return to be at her side during her last days.

I had forgotten that death is part of life. I remember my friend Salim Abi Saab in my home country who told me once: we only 'have to' die, all the rest we do because we want to. And I've been thinking heaps (a lot in Ozzie English) about what my legacy will be.

For once, we've established some basic rules about our lives whilst we can make those decisions. No need to end in a Schiavo case, but those events are a call to action. We now know SOME wishes about the rest of our family members, but please don't make your legacy a headache for those behind.

When we think about our death, we open up the possibility to make the most of our today. Write your best memories now. Make a time capsule, pick your music, chose your flowers, your resting place, celebrate your life as if it was ending now....

We don't pick when we get in -lesson learnt with my grand daughter- we don't pick when we get out... but sure enough whatever is in the middle is all up to us.

Happy 2009...

This is
going to be a great year. thanks for all of you who voted for my manifesto. Life is better when we
are in love with our lives!

To start the year, I just wanted to share with you the story of a dot

Once upon a time a dot got tired... it was all over the place: here, there, over there. So, a simple dot decided to do something
different...

I know, I know. I'll become a dent, a footprint of a dot, so no matter what a write would do, I'll leave a mark.

and it worked...

wow! then I can probably stretch out and become and line, and here and there it tried and tried
but yet, to become a line, the dot needed other dots...

come here, the dot said: let's make a line.. and dots came from all over and some move South or North or East or West and Up and Down, and thus letters were forms and ideas and meaning.

and it all started with a single dot...

Dance, celebrate, enjoy life

There is nothing like moving to shake sadness away... Yes, it's true!

I found about it by trial and error.. the same way I noticed that you can't look up and feel sorry for yourself... or that you can't feel great if you are laying on the floor. Maybe that is why we sleep on beds!

A friend sent me this note about Matt, who travelled around the world dancing.

It is a fantastic short video and very few people can take a look at it without smiling and getting on a good mood..
